6 weeks - no visible sac ?

So yesterday afternoon I went to have my first ultrasound (@ 6weeks.) After the ultrasound I was told that there was no visible sac :/ and that it was for one of two reasons, one: I'm earlier than 6 weeks or two: I am having a ectopic pregnancy.

Anyone been in the same situation before ?

Yea. Went in at 7 weeks with no visible sac because of bad cramping and spotting. I had an ectopic pregnancy.

Idk. I had an ectopic but didn't know about it til it ruptured my tube. I almost died.

yep. i was told the same because they thought i was 7wks. i was also told possible missed abortion (miscarriage). just wait it out, but make sure they keep their eye on you in the event that it is ectopic. you dont want that.

btw, my outcome was a healthy baby girl. =] good luck and congrats.

Thank you all for your replies.

I haven't experienced any bleeding, just some light cramping when I walk too fast. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm just less than 6 weeks and when I go back for my ultra sound on the 14th I get a positive outcome. Losing this baby would really suck, I already miscarried early this year .. but "remaining_me"'s comment is keeping me hopeful :) (Thanks girl !!)

Twins ? Kudos to you ! The thought of giving birth to one baby freaks me out .. I don't know what I'd do if I'd have to do it twice in one day, lol.
