I think you're too young when you've not finished your education and have no means to support your child and yourself.  If you think going on welfare is a good thing...you're WAY too young..

I was (and still am) 17 when my son was born. I wish I would have been older...

You are too young to try for a baby when you can not support yourself and your child 100%

i believe no age is to young. god does everything for a reason.  i believe that waiting is better but everyone who is sexually active knows how that is. especially with most teens, and being in relationships. babies are blessing period! so why view pregnancy as a negative thing because of a certain age? I will always respect any mother who did not ABORT thier child or adopt because that shows that they are willing to try, struggle and love their baby! no one is actually taught how to love it just happens on its own. i dont have a job, im 17. does that also mean that im to young to be a mom as well? i make money here and there making clothes for people but thats not enough, being there financially for child does not mean you are a great parent. what about the love and care tothat most of these "young girls" can provide. most of you all were sexually active at that young age, but just didnt get pregnant, so you cant even say anything about someone being " to young"  especially when you were still putting yourself at risk period. condoms, etcis not 100% effective, now im 5 months.

Anyone that isn't financially stable, doesn't have housing of their own, and isn't ready to be responsible for another human life!

I will always respect a woman or girl who made the right choice for herself, whatever that may be. And no age is too young? Sure, love is great. But money, maturity, and some wisdom helps too. Yes of course some older parents are awful parents. But nine times out of ten a 30 year old woman is better able to raise a child, and produces a happier and healthier child, than a 16 or 17 year old. It's been proven time and again with poverty, poor school performance, developmentally delayed children, and even criminals, all of which is exponentially higher in teen parents and their children, that being a teen parent is not a good thing. Having no job, and not enough money, doesn't make you a good parent. Sure, loving your kid is great, but if you live off of welfare, off your parents, or are homeless, loving doesn't make up for that. I didn't have sex at that age. But I know many girls who did. And a few got pregnant. Most didn't, because they were smart about it and actually used birth control, which, when used correctly, which it rarely is, is very safe. I personally think that having an education, a job, savings, being stable and able to care for your child the way each child deserves, is a huge part of being a good parent.
