I am a step mother of a 15 yr old step daughter. She recently reached out to me and asked to come and live with her father and me. She shared how bad things are between her and her mother and that she and her boyfriend have been sexually active.  I am very concerned that she may be pregnant I had her do 2 home Preg. test and they both showed neg.  Does anyone know if you put a Preg test in water or run water over it instead of urine, will it show a neg. result??  I have made her an appt. with a Dr. to start her on birth control but,  just wondering if she could tricked the test somehow?  I'm afraid she may be in denial.

Yes, if you run it under water, it'll show up as negative The drs appointment is a good thing, and birth control is even better. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, and I hope for both you and her that she isn't. I am 20, but I am also in the process of adopting both my younger sisters, 13 and 14, who are both pregnant. The 13 year old is due in January, and the 14 year old in March and we just found out this morning that she is pregnant. You and your daughter are in my thoughts.
