I was talking to my husband about being a surrogate... like if I knew someone Really well and they were amazing people (a couple comes to mind) That can't concieve, Could I be their surrogate? I know there are TONS of reasons why I couldn't, but there are a million reasons why I'd want to... He of course said no for many of his own reasons including: The toll it would take on my body, Having to give the baby up right after giving birth, The ppd, The c-section, Not getting paid (or) getting paid to do it... I just wanted to because I am too giving he says...
But Idk I guess given all of that I would change my mind and never be able to do it.. but I want to her from people who HAVE done it... the truth.. no sugar coating or Anything like that.. What was it like? Did it kill them inside? or make them So proud and full of life to have done that for somebody?
I think about it all the time, but if given the chance... could I do it/deal with the effects?
I am in michigan. We havent looked to deep into it yet, she is just about to get married. Im sure we will later though
Quoting unspecified42:
What state are you in? It really isnt illegal, it just isn't legal, meaning that the contract wouldn't be enforceable. and it usually only pertains to compensated surrogacy.
This is my fourth surrogacy and I have never had an enforceable contract.
Quoting pixiemom1988:I want to do it for a friend of mine. She had to have a hystorectomy at 8 yrs old. We looked into it and found out its illegal in our state......of all things to make illegal...I was really disappointed.
