I have had the Paragard IUD for about 4 yrs now....I'm only 24 and I have to children already however soon I will have finished school and be attentive more for my kiddoz and husband. I have been having Baby fever since Last summer, however, I know I have to wait to be settled good for this bby to arrive in a non-stressing environment...
My previouse pregnancy experience were unplanned and unprepared for...however I made the best of it...
My Concern here is....
How Long after removing the IUD can I get pregnant?
Will I be able to have another pregnancy?
Will my uterus be damaged?

I'm concerned and worried....
I do wish to experience the feeling of a Planned pregnancy as well as enjoying every moment of it...

Thanks...:)

You can get pregnant immediately after having your IUD removed (as in days). I had the Mirena, and it took a couple of months for my cycle to regulate after I got it out. I did 2 cycles of AI and was pregnant on the second cycle, 4 months after having it removed.

You should be able to have another pregnancy. It is rare for IUDs to damage your uterus or cervix enough to prevent you from having another pregnancy, though it isn't unheard of. It came embed in the cervix or uterine lining (also can cause PID, though that's rare and you would almost certainly know) and damage your organs that way. Typically that is painful, though, and people are aware that it has happened.
