My family always says that I'm too uptight when they ask if they can give my 10 month old cookies/ice cream/caprisuns etc and I say no. They've been wanting to do that since she was 5 or 6 months old and when I would say no, it's always "Let her try new things. You need to be more open minded." If they were healthy things, by all means but not empty calories of processed, sugary, fatty foods. And sometimes if they're watching her while I am doing something, they tell me they've given her one of these items.
I just want her to be as healthy as possible. It's just be a "taste" to them but it adds up.

No your not too uptight and she is your baby so its your choice. I wouldnt give my kids capris suns though people have found mold in some of them. I dont trust them anymore even if it doesnt happen alot.

Thanks ladies I feel much better. I usually stand my ground when they do this but I wish they would stop all together.

She is your daughter! Tell them to stop doing it that you are the mother.

I dont see anything wrong with what you said. You are the mother and trying to do the best for your daughter. It is YOUR decision, not theirs. If they gave your child something that you told them not to give, i would probably flip sh*t!!
