My birth story

I never got to share my birth story so here it is 😊(my son is 4mos old now).
My due date was Dec.29th. I was showing absolutely no signs of going into labor at all, I wasn't thinning, dilating and since my son carried low the whole pregnancy they weren't sure when he had actually dropped.. Of course in my mind I had come to the conclusion that I was going to be pregnant forever haha. I didn't get sweeped or induced because I was already a high risk pregnancy and my specialist wanted him to come completely on his own so I didn't have any further complications during labor. On my due date me & the hubby spent the day out, walking the mall, going to dinner & we went to a movie. He bought me a special maternity bracelet because he knew I was miserable by this point haha. That night we did the deed needless to say(not trying to induce). And right after I started bleeding and realized that I had lost my plug. I figured I still had maybe a few days on my hands before my son came. Nope. At about 3 almost 4 in the morning as I had just fallen asleep, I felt a big pop. My water had broken. I needed to pee before I told my hubby to get ready to head out to the hospital. I went pee, and as I stood up I almost fell to the floor with the most horrible contraction I've ever felt!(keep in mind my body went into labor at about 20wks to my twin girls(r.i.p my angel babies)). I gripped the sink as tightly as I could to keep from collapsing onto the floor and screamed as loudly as I could at my husband to hurry up and start the car because this baby was coming soon! We got to the hospital at almost 4. And I got immediately rushed up to L&D. The minute I got into the room I had to use the bathroom and this time it wasn't pee. I ended up puking everywhere while I was going to the bathroom. I was already having contractions not very far apart. I had to lay down for them to check me and see how dilated I was and had to get oxygen because I almost passed out on the bed. I was at a four and it hadn't even been an hour! I had planned on a natural birth in the beginning but my contractions weren't evening out at all and they thought something might be wrong. Some would last up to three minutes and some only 30seconds, some were topping and going off the charts then they would barely go halfway.. So about 15-20 minutes later the nurse checked me again and I was already at a 6. She called my specialist and they wanted to give me an epidural to try and even out my contractions otherwise I wasn't going to be able to push because I was puking and already so exhausted from the uneven contractions I was having. They rushed the anesthesiologist because it was going so quickly. I got the epidural and fell asleep. It was for only about a half hour but I was so exhausted. By about 8:10am I needed to push. I pushed like a champ and my husband almost fainted, watching haha. He was squeezing my hand instead of the other way around.. By 8:42am my son had come. He only cried for a second when the nurse sucked his face. My husband cut his cord, then he was off getting cleaned on the other side of the room. My hubby stayed by my bedside while I got all of the placenta pulled out & sewn back up from the episiotomy. I cried when he came out. He had no medical problems whatsoever and wasn't jaundiced at all. And now I have the most perfect little bear a momma could ask for!
Thanks for listening!

I didn't go into labor on my own with any of my kids.
