my daughter gets NO effect from tylenol. we use cala store brand childrens ibuprofen...works WONDERS. I voted motrin, has to work better than nothing which is what tylenol does. hehe

for my kids id have to say tylenol...my pediatrician says to swap the two out..1 dose of tylenol then the next dose is motrin that way the child doesnt get "addicted" to either one..but personally i always use tylenol...it just works better and faster on my 2 kids

Is motrin the same as IBProfin?  If so that has always worked better as a fever reducer, I've never really used any sort of pain relievers other than orajel.

I was told that tylenol is the best to give because motrin and other ibuprofen products, can cause problems to the stomach and liver.

I would alternate them. It helps my son more if i do every other one every four hours.
