WHEN MY DAUGHTER FIRST CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL SHE DIDNT POOP FOR DAYS. I ASKED THE DOCTOR AND THEY TOLD ME I COULD STICK THE TIP OF A THERMOMETER UP HER BUT TO STIMULATE A BOWEL MOVEMENT, BUT IF THAT DIDNT WORK I COULD GO A HEAD AND GIVE HER HALF OF A CHILDS SUPPOSITORY, AND USE THE OTHER HALF IF THAT DIDNT WORK. BUT ITS NOTHING TO WORRIE ABOUT THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE A BOWEL MOVEMENT FOR DAYS. BUT IF HER STOMACH IS HARD AND SHE CRYS I WOULD GIVE HER A SUPPOSITORY

My daughter didn't make her first bowel movement until the day I left the hospital, her fourth day of life. They say that the first "poop" is the hardest for the baby to pass because it is so sticky and tar like. hope all is going well with the diapers now!
