Hello all,
We are finally moving to the Cary/Raleigh area this summer!!!! My issue now is schools. I have a 1st grader that we hoping to have repeat. He is developmentally delayed due to some pretty serious health problems at birth to 3. He is now finally healthy, but the delays are holding him back. He will be 8 soon, so will be an older first grader, but we still feel it's best.
He really needs a school that will help him grow as a student and a child. Any schools come to mind when you think of special needs kiddos? An all special needs school would not be good as he really needs to be in a classroom with "average" children. He does have a part time para, but is in the classroom full time.
Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks! Jill
I just moved to the area myself, so I have no idea, but hopefully some of the other ladies will jump in and answer! Good luck with the move!
