I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kathy Johnson. I have 2 girls, 12 and 8. I have 19 years total service in the Army, I have been a Military housewife, mom, girlfriend, Reservist, and AD Soldier. I have been through alot during my service and may be able to help you in answering some questions. Also, I was a medic for 16 years and now I am an Army Reserve Career Counselor helping Soldiers with their Military Careers, explain all our incentives and benefits and staying in service.
I was married for over 10 years to an AD Soldier but now he is retired, helps me with my kids and we are the greatest of friends (wierd..I know). About 2 years ago, I met and fell in love with an AGR Soldier. He was deployed to Iraq for 15 months and recently just came home. We never had a chance to date, but we kept in touch almost every day by email, IM, or phone. I got the "let's just take a break speech" but we couldn't seem to be away from each other. Needless to say, I found out one month after his arrival that he will be going to Germany for 3 years. This was very hard to deal with. I now just found out that I am pregnant. I am 36 and I will be going through this alone. WHEW! on top of all this I managed to get my Associate degree and one year into my Bachelors in Business Management! Oh yes Ladies, it's been hell, but all do-able, oh yah, and I did it w/ out friends or family.
I am scared to go through this preganancy alone, so I will be on here for all your support.
