I'm speaking to a recruiter later this week about enlisting in the Nat Guard. I've been giving this serious thought for well over a year now, and had my hopes of being a Marine stomped on when I found out I could not have custody of my son. Anyway...question is...

Personal opinion, How hard was boot camp? Please only answer if you have actually been. I dont need your boyfriends sugar coated version of it thanks.

What are the height and weight reqs?

And what are the PFT reqs?
At what point of boot do you have to pass the PFT?
Do they still demand a passing of the fitness test that comes prior to or at your meeting with MEPS?

The last valid information I got from anyone regarding the military was a retired Devildog who barely managed boot.

Thanks in advance Mama's

Im a mother thinking of going into the service myself. I know this off of the topic of your post, but anyways. I take it because the marines told you you could not have custody of your son that you are a single parent. (Correct me if Im wrong). I am currently a single parent (will be getting married here shortly though), and have recently talked to Army and Air Force recruiters. It seems that in every branch you either have to be married or sign over the rights over your kids. This is what Ive been told by the recruiters here. Just wanted to share that. Just wanted to find out if thats why and to let you know if it is, that you may have trouble with all the branches. Forgive me if Im completely off the mark.

Ok. Just read a response of yours in another post.I did not realize that you were wanting to go National Guard..so I apologize for the misunderstanding.
