Preparing for kindergarten

What is everyone else doing to prepare their little one for school?

The school my daughter will be going to is a fundamental school and they require homework 4 nights out of the week, no matter what grade they are in.  So we have been doing workbook pages everyday.  I also have started to teach her to read and do simple math.  She is starting to take a shower all alone, get up earlier, open her own car door, and buckle her seat belt (car circle at school).

Emma has been doing work books for the summer and practicing her reading and writing. She is going to the same school she went to for prek 3 and 4 so she is used to going to school and she knows her teacher already. I am looking forward to meeting her and seeing the difference in prek and kindergarten.
