Wow! You have your hands full. I am a nurse in the pediatric critical stepdown unit and deal with kids born with CHD alot. I also have had patients with Noonan's syndrome.
My own child has sensory integration dysfunction........but the older he gets, it is definitely more severe.........so be patient! My other son is 10 and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which is a whole world by itself. As for my daughter, her only issue is being a drama queen!
Be strong and use those who know what u are going through for support:)
I'm also a nurse and work with children, and it's a totally different world when your own children are sick. My oldest son has type 1 diabetes and my littlest has a sensory integration dsyfunction disorder.
It's nice to not have to feel alone!
Hello! My name is Deborah, and I have 4 cute kids. My youngest, Lucas, was found to have a heart murmur while we were still in the hospital, and now has congestive heart failure and is going for surgery on the 14th. What is a bit alarming about the whole thing is that my nurse found the murmur RIGHT AFTER the pediatrician came to my room and examined him, and if she hadn't discovered it, it would have been DAYS until it was found. He had already lost almost a pound due to it, and they didn't know why, and he could have become severely ill if it hadn't been treated right away with meds. So that's where we are right now- about to go for open heart surgery and scared!

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I have a 7 year old son named Mateo and a 16 month old baby boy Christopher. Right now Mateo is sick and my husband and myself do not know what is wrong. He has been complaining of severe stomach pains for the last 3 weeks. We have took him to the doctor twice. They took urine and blood and said that nothing is wrong. The doctor has come to the conclusion that he is constipated and to give him laxatives. This is not his normal doctor, his doctor has been on vacation and will return on Monday. The laxatives worked and he still continues to have stomach pains. Last night he slept in my room again crying all night. We were talking about talking him to the emergency room, but our emergency room sucks. We don't know if we should wait until Monday to make an appointment with his doctor. Do you have any suggestions? We are tired and scared that it is something extremely wrong with him. Any feedback would be a help. Thanks
Stephanie
Hi! My name is Laura. I am a work-at-home-mom to two children - a son, 6-1/2 and a daughter, almost 4. When my daughter was born her heart rate went up to over 200 bpm. She was diagnosed with Wolfe Parkinson White disease. So, she has something extra in her heart that could cause it to beat rapidly whenever. For the first 9 months, she took her medicine every 6 hours... sleeping or not... Made for kind of a rough 9 months! She is still taking her medicine, but only twice a day now. All in all, she has done very well with it - only about two episodes that put a little scare in us and the others are mild. And she should have no restrictions on what she can do. She seems to have a good tolerance for them, although they are few and far between - thank god. The good thing is they can fix this, but will wait until she is a few years older since it is not giving her problems.
Just scary when anything has to do with your heart. My father and mother both had heart surgeries and my father had so many heart problems before he died, so this was scary when we first heard. Hopefully, they will be able to fix this before she starts to kindergarten in two years and that will be the end of it. Although it will always be in my mind. She now sees the children's cardiologist every six months and is a great trooper!

Hi! I'm Christa, mom to one almost 4 y/o dd and a 5 month old dd. My oldest daughter has environmental allergies, and is on controller meds for mild intermittent asthma. I am now concerned my youngest has allergies as well. In the past 3 months, she has had 3 severe coughing episodes, congestion, red, watery eyes that are a reaction after being put on the floor near our dog and cat. But her DR doesn't want to test her or diagnose allergies yet. He did give her her own nebulizer machine with medicine which I had to put to use last night. I'm hoping to connect with other moms of kids with allergies and asthma related issues!

Hey everyone. My daughter was born with 3 fingers on her R hand and 5 on her left but is missing a metacarpal. She is missing all other bones in her hand where the missing fingers would be (metacarpals and carpals), also it's looking like her ulna is longer than her radius. We just got back from a 7 hour trip to Stanford and it was really tough. I don't know who cried more when she was getting all of her labs done... I shed a few tears. It has been a very draining last few days. I look forward to meeting other moms out there who might have a similar situation feel free to pm me.
