October - Pumpkins, gourds, indian corn

November - Turkeys, pilgrims, Thanksgiving stuff

December - Christmas tree

That is a cute idea with a small tree that does not have to have all the fur-tune move all over the place like ours does,  The only good thing about taking down the tree is set my living room right again.

I've seen this done where a mom asks the kids one question each month, then writes their answers on an "ornament" (paper shape) for the month's theme... each year, she puts up last year's ornaments and this year's comparing answers.

For example: In September, she asks, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" The kids read past answers to see how their dreams have changed.
