Last year (January I believe), the girls and I had a lot of fun celebrating Winnie the Pooh's birthday (it was a SUPERB solution for cabin fever). When we celebrate these holidays, it simply means that I do "theme" activities with the girls that day and we do something fun together as a family along those lines.
I want to do Mickey's birthday this year. It's 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.
So far I have:
Watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (DVD)
Mickey Mouse Printables (includes games and coloring pages):

Make Mickey Mouse Ears (construction paper hats)
MICKEY MENU:
Breakfast: Mickey Mouse Pancakes (using Mickey Cookie Cutter)
Lunch: Mickey Sandwiches (same cookie cutter), Chocolate Milk, and Ritz Mickey Snacks
Dinner... Still Planning.
Will have Mickey Cupcakes for dessert
Other ideas?
We had a birthday party for Mickey today (a couple days late due to Tuesday being too busy).
Our Party included:
1) We wore Mickey clothes
2) I served Mickey Pancakes/ Bacon / Eggs for breakfast on Mickey Plates with Milk and bendy straws
3) We played Mickey Dominoes, Made Mickey Ear Hats, played hide and seek with a Mickey Toy, made Mickey Mouse Club Membership Cards (covered w/contact paper), colored Mickey Pictures.
4) Read Mickey Books
5) Watched old Mickey Cartoons
6) Had Mickey and Friends Mac N Cheese (from Target) for lunch.
7) Made Chocolate Cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles and Mickey toothpicks as decoration (off Disney Playhouse website)
8) Decorated with Mickey Balloons all over the house and our typical Happy Birthday Banner.
We had one set of friends over to enjoy the fun. It was actually really simple (used things we already had), but it was great fun for a diversion! I love a theme!
Planning another Mickey Party this year... anyone else participate in the "unique holidays"?
