Please tell us about your adventures in working from home!  Here is my story:

I am a stay at home mom of three boys, my husband and I homeschool our oldest two, but we were needing a second income.  I was not wanting to go to work out side of the house so I started to look for something that was legit that I could do at home.  I was not interested in doing parties or mess with an invertory so I knew that eliminated a lot of options for me.

I have looked off and on for a number of years for something that I could do at home and had not found anything that I felt was not a scam and that I could feel good about doing.

The boys and I were at our local library one day and I was wondering around the parents section in the children's area and seen a book about working from home.  I thought why not I will see what they have to say so I checked it out.  It had a lot of different ideas in it and some websites about wahm's.  I looked at a few and then came across one called wahm.com

My husband was looking at the site with me and he seen the ad for Ameriplan on there and told me to look and see what that was.  I did and got so excited because I knew that I had finally had found something that I had been looking for!!  I signed up a couple of days later and have not looked back!!

Mine is more of a question than a story....

I'm having a hard time trying to find productive time being home with my 7 week old daughter.  She hasnt found her schedule yet and it has left me drained with no time for my business... does anyone have any suggestions.
She yells "jump, Monkey!" and I jump...

At seven weeks she is the boss!!  The only thing I could suggest is if she is more of a morning baby spend your time with her then and early afternoon take a small power nap (15-20 mins) and work your business in the late afternoon early evening.  If she is an afternoon baby switch it around do you business in the morning and spend your time with her while she is more aake in the afternoon.

At this age it is very easy to get them on a routine or off of one for that matter.  Don't feel guilty for taking a short nap with her!

I have 3 boys my youngest is 2, I will lay down with him in the afternoon for his nap, I don't go to sleep, I am waiting for him to fall asleep and then I get up and work on whatever I need to do.

Don't worry you will get into a routine soon!!

Good Luck!!

Hi my name is Joanna and I have two businesses.   My first business is 9 Months To Eternity.  I specialize in making diaper cakes, wedding cakes (non edible), housewarming cakes, hairbows, purses for little girls, and jean jackets with fluff!  I am currently working on getting online by the end of January so everyone can see my products.

My second business is working with a wellness company that  manufactures wellness products that are safe, non toxic, less expensive and work great!  I find these products to be superior to other products on the market today.

All I do is shop for myself and refer others to the company.  I open wholesale accounts for people to shop factory direct.  It is not like any other home based business...such as no inventory...no parties...no more meetings...etc.  We have a great team of moms working together...the support is endless.

My main reason for doing this is to educate parents about all the chemicals in their homes and protect the children.  The extra money doesn't hurt either.

We can open accounts over the phone or the internet, so it is literally a business you can do from home.  No party planning and everyone is a potential customer.  We look for people who wash their clothes, brush their teeth, take a bath, clean their home, and like to save money...do you know anyone that fits that ...it really is amazing!

From now until the end of December, it is just $1 to join and be on your way to have toxin free products in your home.  Any questions or if you would like to hear more, please message me and let me know.  Thank you,

Joanna

Congrats on your baby!  She is so adorable.  You will get into a routine eventually with her.  I would nap when she naps.  Or like the other gal mentioned, about laying down with them until they think you are asleep.  I have done that numerous times with my kids.  Usually works like a charm!  When my youngest daughter was a newborn, she always wanted to be held and would cry if not being held.  I found that those snuggli carriers worked great for her.  She just wanted to snuggle all the time.   She would spend hours in the snuggli and I still got to work.  It was great!

I am a WAHM from CT.  I work as a travel agent and am a certified Disney Vacation Planner.   I work for a travel agency out of state that employs members nationwide. The best thing about this job is that it really is the "best of both worlds" in that I have complete freedom to work as many hours as I want, when I want and plan my own marketing while still receiving free online training and the support of an agency that has been in business for many years.   What I most love about this job is that it is not an MLM and I do not have to recruit or sell....just let people know that I am available to make their vacation plans and who doesn't want or need a vacation!   I love being able to help others plan their "dream" vacation and showing people how that Disney vacation they thought they could not afford could be affordable and magical!

Our family absolutely LOVES going to Disney every year and I have learned many secrets (the hard way) how to do it affordably and enjoyably!  I also plan cruises and any other travel.  I am so fortunate to have found this opportunity as I have always been interested in the travel industry.  Luckily my husband and daughters are extremely supportive and share in my enthusiasm for this new endeavor.  My biggest goal is to be able to remain a WAHM....I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!!

I look forward to learning more about everyone elses businesses as well and am always looking for new marketing ideas and people to share information with! Gina

I make family heirlooms from ladies wedding dressses. This way they can keep and pass on a part of that special day. As you can see the handkerchief lends itself well to this idea. Your dress will be different than the one above so no 2 are alike. I have a website www.weddingdresskeepsake.net  there are pictures of other items there. I also am an oil painter an quilter. you can see some of my oil paintings at www.myspace.com/stellabritton  I have posted an "album" of the ones I have completed thus far this summer. You can contact me if interested in any of those as well.   No quilts for sale at this time. Britton
