Do you mean pickled beets to eat or to home can? When I make pickled beets, I just take white vinegar and dilute it to a strength I like, add my sugar to however sweet I like and add a little cinnamon and a few whole cloves. Then let them set for about 8 hours in ice box.....yummy! When we're done eating the pickled beets, I never throw out the juice, I use it when I make deviled eggs. I soak the egg white cups for the deviled eggs in that beet juice for a few hours before filling them...again yummy!
Wow what a great idea!! Thank you so very much! I botched my first batch up. I used a couple spoons of a dill pickle mix and it had to much salt in it. They were so bad I couldnt even eat them. I used vinager and water and cloves also but the salt was too strong.
Hope you like them fixed that way. That's the only way I have ever fixed them.
