Wow that is alot, it must really be hard to feed her with all thise allergies. I hope someone will come on to give you some advice,
I just meet a mom that her son had a diary allergy and needs an epi pen for it. I never heard of dairy being so bad. I guess we all learn something new
Good luck
Quoting JFRISKIE:
My daughter is allergic to milk, wheat, peanuts, and eggs. We have eppi pens for 3/4 we have a had a very hard time with her this year she also has a few other conditions associated with her allergies. She can have nothing prsessed and I am very interested in any information about foods that others know of that don't contain all four. feeding her is a daily struggle. any advice appreciated!!
Really! My daughters milk allergy is very severe, but we have not had to use an eppi for it yet... Knock on wood we wont have to! :) Tielers lips swell up and her face surrounding her mouth will explode in hives and it cause instant extreme vomiting... Our allergist said that its one of the worst milk allergies he has seen but her egg is more severe than any of her allergies causing anaphlactic shock. Joining this group I was hoping to be able to find other mothers who have a similair understanding of what its like having a child with severe allergies. I feel like people minimize the situation regularly? Does anyone feel like that? I get so tired of people treating me like I am over obsessing about where I allow her to be a play, things she can go and touch like the grocery cart at the store?? or crawling on the floor in someones home. not that other people have messy floors but her picking up a small peice of something on the floor with egg wheat milk or peanuts in it can possibly kill her. How do you not obsess?? My daughter is 15 months old. She weighs 19 lbs. and 3oz. She has asthma and severe Gerd ( Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) She constantly gets ulcers in her esphagus and esophagitis. She is currently going through immune testing. Tie has had three extended stays in the childrens hospital here she has had such a hard year. She is so easily sick, and we are financialy end emotionally exhausted. I am really interested in hearing about children with similair allergies and conditions. We are also looking for grants that help people pay for these types of care that are not completely covered by insurance. And feeding ideas!! recipes anything! Her enviroment is key to her health. We just went through six weeks of thrush that she couldnt get rid of due to the steroids we were using for the severe excema... Does anyone have excema advice somethimes it looks like a cat got her!! No matter how often we clip her nails and cover her in creams it so bad we are also buying softwater right now any other ideas? Thanks in advance to anyone and everyone with advice or similair stories. sometimes knowing other people are going through similair situations helps so much!!

when I first joined cafemom~this was my most favorite reason why. Finding other Moms with the same situations, same thoughts, same fears. YES to every question above! How can we not obsess?? I am hoping that a complete milk & egg avoidance will help your sweet baby. The docs & we thought Jack had bad GERD too~it was his milk allergy. Once it was completely removed from his diet (and mine cause I was nursing) he never vomited again. Eczema is triggered by eggs & milk!! Again, complete avoidance will help symptoms. The best help I found for my kids eczema was baking soda baths. Warm water with a good scoop of baking soda. It relieves the skin, makes it super soft & baby requires no soap~the baking soda will clean her.
