Has anyone read these amazing books? She is truly one of my most favorite authors, right up there with Anya Seton and Beverly Lewis. I am also finding that I really like Jodi Thomas. Hope someone else has spent some time with Diana Gabaldon - her books are like no other I have ever read!

I love Diana Gabaldon.     Claire and Jamie are two of my favorite characters.      She has great secondary characters as well.

I was going through my to be read pile (OK shelves) aand I ran across three of her books.  Outlander, Voyager and Drums of Autumn.  I have to get the Dragonfly in Amber once I start reading the first one.  Are they really good?  I don't think I've even started the first one.  I was just curious!

OMG...the books are soooooo addicting...they're huge so a little overwhelming..but you'll get into the story and won't quit...I met her...because I used to live in AZ and she was at a book signing...she is great...and you can't help but get lost in the story...I highly recomend...

Maybe that's why I've not read any - they are quite imposing aren't they?  That and I never talked to anyone who had read them.  so, I'll give them a try. Thanks!

What are her books like? I've never heard of her before. I've had a lot of luck finding great new authors reading suggestions here. Which of her books should i start with?

They are about a woman Claire who is gets thrown back in time to Scotland during the 1700's...She falls in love with a Jamie Fraser who fights the English for Scotlands freedom...They are really good...but really long... I think Outlander is around 1000 pages...Outlander is the first one...the Fiery Cross which is the last one I read takes place 30 years after the first...so it really goes through their whole relationship...which is nice...They are just completely different than anything else I've ever read.

I am reading The FIery Cross right now (the 5th book) and love it.  I've devoured this series.   When is the new one coming out?  Do you know?
