Welcome Ashley!
Try Linda Howard's McKenzie's series.
If you like American Indian's try Constance O'Banyon's Savage Series or any Cassie Edwards.
A newer writer I really like is Joanna Wayne she writes category romance(Sillhouette, Harlequin, Avon etc.)
If you like spicy there's Lori Foster.
anything by Diana Palmer.
If you like paranormal(vampires, shapeshifter etc.) there's Allysa Day, Sarah McCarty.
Historical--Tracy Anne Warren's Misttresses series, Johanna Lindsey, Jo Beverly, Jude Deveraux oh the list goes on and on in all the categories but here's maybe a sample that'll help you.    Above all, have fun and good reading!

Hi and some of the novels use to make me blush too. I like Lori Foster too.  So many good authors out there. I joined so I could find more authors I did not know about and get opinions from others. Have fun reading. Take care.

I definitely think you need to be reading Nora Roberts. The Quinn brothers are one her best series. Tear jerkers that will make you blush. Also try Carolina Moon, suspensful and steamy, and Hidden Riches. Linda Lael Miller is also great for historical romance. The Mckettrick series is her absolute best! It's actually historical and contemporary. I think the first three or so in the series are historical. Diana Palmer is great, she writes a lot about Native Americans. Her stories usually invovle a young girl with an older man if you're into that. The girl is almost always a virgin. I also love Judith McNaught. Her stories are amazing. Try Someone to Watch Over me, and Perfect!!! Very entertaining and sexy.

Best romance is Nora Roberts and then she has some that are the suspense/romance that are great as well.  If you do want to read some of her books, you'll want to go to her website @ noraroberts.com and get the booklist so you don't inadvertantly start with a 2nd or 3rd book in a trilogy.

If you like/enjoy suspense/romance writers, you may want to check out Linda Howard and Karen Robards.  They both write great suspence novels that have a romantic twist in them.

If you enjoy erotic romance books, you may want to check out Lori Foster, Erin McCarthy, and Shannon McKenna.  I have read several of their books and love the stories.  I have to tell you that the sex scenes in these books are a little more graphic than, say, Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, and Karen Robards.

Hope this helps and happy reading!

Hey Ashley, welcome to the group!  Everyone's mentioned some great authors so you're sure to get some really awesome reading done.  :)

Sweet Water was written by Anna Jeffrey and I have to agree, it was a really good book!  I fell in love with the very first book AJ wrote and I've bought all the others by her since then.

Another author you might want to try is Nancy Herkness.  I confess I've only read the first two she wrote,  A Bridge to Love, and A Shower of Stars but I adored each one.  Her voice is really lovely and the stories are unique too.  I haven't had a chance to check on her in the last year or so to see if she's got anything new.  But she's definitely worth the time, imho.

It's great to have you hear and I'm looking forward to hearing about other authors you read and enjoy!  :)
