My little sister is the one who brought me to her. She read her book "Knight In Shining Armour" and said I absolutely need to read it. Since she lives in Oklahoma and I in Alaska I wasn't able to borrow it so I went in search of it. I couldn't find it but I read her book "Legend" couldn't put it down. After reading it I found the book my sister recomended and same thing, couldn't stop reading it. Since then I have read 3 or her books other then the ones mentioned and have loved all of them. I don't know why, all the years I have been reading romance, I haven't come across her books yet. Anyone else a Jude fan? She is the first romance author that I go in search of when buying a new romance novel.
I have liked almost everything I have ever read by her.
I will say I did not care for "Forever", "Always" and "Forever and Always". The first were alright, but I did not like how she wrapped them up with the third book.
Besides that I have enjoyed her stuff and have reread "A Knight in Shining Armor" and "Legend" several times.

I've only read part of the Velvet Series (Velvet Promise/Highland Velvet) and all of the Twin series..as well as other non-series (The enchanted land/The Invitation) and other titles I can't remember right now. I love Jude Deveraux.
I loved A Knight In Shining Armor but was a little disappointed in the ending. I know she ended up with who was supposed to be her soul mate but it just didn't feel right to me. In Legend she ended up with who I was wanting her to end up with. I think it was because she introduced him about halfway through the book so you got to know his character and who he was. But then again that is what I like about her. She doesn't have her ladies end up with the guy that you are lead to believe she will end up with by reading the back of the book. She is still a great writer though and I look forward to going to the book store. My favorite genre to read is western historical romance so if any of you know anymore by her let me know. I've read the two I've mentioned, River Lady, and another that escapes my memory at the moment.
I just made a run to the bookstore and got another of her books. This one is called "Secrets". Have you guys read it? I'll start on it tonight after the kiddos are in bed and all my shows are over with. Thursday night is the night I'm glued to the TV! HA!

I'm so glad you mentioned this book! Yes, I've read it. Actually, it was the very first (and only) book I've ever read of hers. I thought it was a very good book, but I do have one question about Jude's books, if someone can please answer for me. Do most of her books contain love/sex scenes? "Secrets" did not have one sex scene in the whole book (sorry Lisa...I hope this isn't considered a spoiler for you). I think it was the first romance novel I've ever read that didn't have any sex in it. The funny thing is that I didn't even realize it was missing until I was finished reading it. That's how much the book held my interest. I'd really like to try one of her historicals, but I have to admit that if I'm gonna read a romance novel, I do prefer them with love scenes. So do most of her books contain them?
If you wanna read historicals read A Knight in Shining Armor and Legend. They were both very good and I couldn't put them down. There are sex scenes in both books but they are placed so well that you feel as if you are reading/watching love unfold, not just sex. And when it happens, she doesn't go into great detail. I've started reading Secrets. It's alright, I'm just not getting into like I have some of her others. To many characters being introduced and to much stuff going on for me.

I haven't read one of Jude's books in quite awhile. I'll have to start reading her again. Thanks for the reminder!
Wow, I haven't thought of Jude Deveraux in a long while. There was a period when I couldn't get enough of her books. My favorites were the Montgomery/Taggert books. I think I preferred the ones from the1800's on. Here's a list of those, ending with Knight in Shining Armor (one of my favorites!)
I think those are in time order. If you like the old west, Mountain Laurel is a good one to start with if you haven't read it already :)
Check out www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/d/jude-deveraux/ It has a good listing of her books with plots for each.
Wow! Thanks! Great info! I'll go check that site out right now.

I have been a JD fan for a long time. I've read many of the books in the Montgomery series (including, most recently, The Princess and A Knight in Shining Armor) without realizing they were part of a series. I've also read a lot of her stand alones.
