i can't really get the grasp of the MLA format. i don't really understand it.....i don't do formatting really well with papers. the professor gave an example, but i still don't understand....like i said before...grammer and formatting and punctuality and other things of that nature are my true weaknesses
MLA is not my area of expertise, but I'll find someone to help you.
(formated Margins should be 1 inch on all sides. Font should be times new roman 12 point. The entire paper should be double spaced. The header should have your last name and page number on the right hand side. y
ou should have
Name
Class
Instructor
Date (format 7 August 2008)
Title should be bold spaced and centered
Headings should be left justified and bold
Citings should be in the body of the paper like this (Orphin, 26)
There would be a workes cited page at the end and I think you can get proper formatting for all types of reference books on the web if you type in MLA format.
Hope this helps.

Go here, if you've got Adobe. Actually, the Sam Houston University Writing Center (I used to work there) has ALL sorts of sources for writing rules! Grammar, punctuation, styles, etc...they've got it all. If you go to http://www.shsu.edu/~wctr/handouts.html, you can find freaking anything you need to know.
I wish I would have known about this when I was in college!

If you need help with citations, my grad school professor introduced us to the website Son of Citation Machine. You choose the format, input the information and the website does the work for you!
