I just got my startup materials about an hour ago. I met my district manager after i got off work and talked and got my materials. i am a property manager and a few of my tenants and even the people i show houses are in sales and everyone says they do ok. BTW its avon. like she said, no matter what folks still need soaps and lotions and makeup........so im starting slow and want to see where it goes. she has only been doing this a short time and she is doing ok. she did ok as a rep and is now district manager. it allowed her to leave her sbc job and be a sahm. good luck to you in whichever you decide on.

I can't find a job to save my life! I am 18 and my DH is in the Navy. I just need something to help me be with my son and something I can do no matter where in the world we move to. Thank you for your help!

I have really been thinking about Pampered Chef myself.  I'd love to hear how other consultants are doing...

have you given thought to working in a daycare? the one my son attends has a few mothers of attendees working as teachers/aides. of course, they aren't in the same room/class with their children, but they get free daycare! its just a thought..

you know I started selling avon back in may and it has been good, all it took was $10 to get started and the only reason I went with avon is because everyone knows the brand and it sells itself, your don't need inventory, no need to meet quotas, nor need to recuit anyone you are your own boss. if you ask anyone if they have bought avon or know anyone who wants to buy it they will say yes. pm if you want to know more. BTW you can make up to 50% of your sells right off the bat.

I agree with the prev post.
also just remember with any direct selling company it does take time to see a profit.
If you have a lot of friends and family that will buy that would be great . With Avon you do earn 50% your first four campaigns. After that it depends on how much you sell. Once you reach presidents club you will get 45% no matter what your  sales are. also if you decide that selling is not  for you, you can still be a personal shopper with AVon and place order when you want and still get a discount.
I have been in your situation and I became a waitress. After 3 days of training I was making money everyday. I know it is not a glam job, but it paid bills. And actually that is my fav job other then being a mom.

good luck
