So is it taboo to even mention HSLDA in this group? How many are members? is it worth being a part of it before I go ahead join our family? Please someone give me some input! I know couple ppl who are members and love it and highly recommend them. But there is another group I am that bring HSDLA is not allowed because owner doesn't like them...

We intend to join when my son hits 7 (the legal age in which he is required to be "in school" in our state). I can't say much about them either way, lol, as I have no experience with them, but I have only heard good things.

Me too. The one homeschool group I am is totally against them. But it isn't a christian hs group either and didn't relize this until the owner made a post kinda not a nice one and said abolutely no talking about HSLDA because she hates them and because she is admin. I found it kinda odd personally but thn again this is what our world is coming to. Uugghh

I'm the group owner and I'm a member of HSLDA!! I don't see how anyone who homeschools can dislike them; if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be able to homeschool.

I have never heard anyone say anything negative about it in this group, or actually anywhere.

Yea in another group I'm in half the women or more don't like them because it is a "religious" organization and these mothers aren't Christians. I personally love them and the work they do for us Homeschoolers

Thank you ladies this make it nice to know maybe because we live for Christ I feel they are an important part of any home schooling home! I just needed to make sure. I know I am strange but it means a lot to hear from other God fearing woman. The other group I have come to find out is a group of non believers. But I have chose to stay because they do have some good ideas and some mommas there are very nice. But I will keep my self at a distance. Hugs to all and God bless you through this day.
