How can I do this for free?  I keep looking at curriculums and I don't see how to pay for one if  my DD is above the curve on one or below on another. She is above grade level in reading for sure. I will find out more when I start HS her. Or can I just guide everything off a book or person? How does this work or just get something in our head and work around that until we are done? Or feel done? How would this work with the yearly testing? I am in MN.

Anyone else in MN?

http://www.homeschoolshare.com/ has free unit studies and lapbook resources.  They also have a forum for support and questions. Unit studies are a great way to "ease" into homeschooling and they are fun. The reason why I don't do them anymore is because they require a lot of teacher prep and due to my health issues, I need curriculum that is more student friendly and independent.
