s most of you know we began homeschooling this year. My husband still volunteers at the middle school teaching art. Today he was talking to one of the teacher's aids (who has a son the same age as the boys). Sge told him tbat they are having a hard time with this class (9th grade). One of them robbed a pizza hut delivery guy and another one is in lots of trouble. Last week there were 4 people arrested for murder. This kid was one of them. It was in the paper last week that there was avminor involved. This boy is 14. They are possibly going to charge him with capital murder as an adult. This is the same boy who tried to start a fight with one of my boys last year. It saddens me to know that these two kids have ruined their life, especially knowing that they both come from a bad homelife. It makes me so glad that we are homeschooling though. This lady also said that her son is struggling very much in math. The 8th grade teacher is horrible so these kids ar going to high school completely unprepared. r

I have a set of cousins like that too. Two out of three are convicted felons, and we're hopeful that one of those two is on the path of reformation.

We turned to homeschooling when our 15 year old daughter started having some problems at the end of her 8th grade year.  It was obvious she was so unhappy.  Stopped having anything to do with the girls she used to run around with which was good because they were so wild.  The teachers and principal were awful.  Wouldn't work with us after she was diagnosed with a learning disability.  The homeschool instruction, which is a Christian one, is teacher based and wonderful.  Very understanding and caring teachers and staff.
