Hi Ladies, apparently yesterday, we were hit by some twisters in the Suffolk area. My grandfather and other family members reside in Suffolk and were in the midst of the twisters. My family and I contacted them and they are alright, Thank God for that! What I want to know if all of my Suffolk/Chesapeake moms are all okay? If you have been with the twisters in another area other than Suffolk/Chesapeake, you can post here too! So, let us know that you all were not affected by the twisters. Please reply.....

I am SCARED to death of tornados... I was in Portsmouth at a friends house at the time and the wind... MY LORD... I was certian that the wind was going to blow her tree through the living room... It took it out but thankfully in the other direction!!
I HATE tornados... I use to live in DeSoto MO and back in 2003. May 6th 2003 8 out of 12 tornados ripped through DeSoto. I was at work at Mcdonalds at the time. I watch the bank in the SAME parking lot get completely destryoed (No one was in it, after hrs) but the roof of Mcd's was ripped off. The front doors were ripped out the windows in the entire play area was shattered... one of the doors hit me and dislocated my shoulder... the first place we took shelter the roof was ripped off of completely so we had to run to the freezer from the mens room. It was scary and I couldnt get home after that. I was stranded... When I did finally get home I was taken to the two days later b/c no one could get to where we lived. trees and power lines blockes the way and it was a dead end street. We lost the back end of our house and we lived out of a cooler for a month.
So... I HATE tornados.... It was just me and my daughter and my friends dog... (House sitting) and I was scared out of my mind.
I live in VA bch and there isnt any damage.

We had a tornado go thru our neighborhood. We lost some shingles, siding, and shuttters but we are all ok. My husband was at work at the naval base and i called him scared to death afterwards and told his supervisor he needed to send my husband home right now! lol he says he never drove so fast in his life.

I work about 4 miles from burnetts mill, we were outside looking at the clouds but did not know it was a tornado until the news cast came across the radio and so we all left work early. It did pass by my daughters daycare which was pretty damaged but no injuries at all but the kids were scared. Took me 4 hours to get to her, i was freaking out. i am thankful there were no deaths! Thanks for everyones thoughts and prayers for the families most affected!
