What do you love to do?????
I'm looking forward to your answers.

I love to read. I love the great outdoors-- sports & anything nature-related. I love to travel & learn about new places & cultures.
What do I love to do?
Right now I love being at home with my daughter and of course with my husband!
I keep the atmosphere one of joy and peace by being very selective of the media I let into my home, besides exposing my mind and soul to.
We love television.
Catholic programming is of utmost importance. Then comes culture: great music, foreign cultural programs, home improvement programs in Spanish and English-and...of course food : preparation and presentation -in Spanish and English. :)

I love to lead this group , to read , to cook , to study my Bible , to do simple crafts and spend time with my family.
My grandparents on both sides of my family came from Mexico and my parents were born in Arizona, so I'm second generation American of Hispanic descent. What about you?

I am from Pennsylvania originally.
I am Scotch/Irish, German from my Dad's side. Polish from my Mom's.
When I was 17 my parents allowed me to travel to Bolivia as a Rotary Exchange student. This was in 1970.
I taught myself Spanish, moved to Texas finally in 1983 because once I tasted that love and affection I just couldn't live without it. I wanted more. I found what my heart desired in the Mexican people here in the city in which I live now.
My prayer for a life mate was answered when I met this wonderful man through a lady friend with whom I always talked while staying late keeping up with the demands of being a public school elementary teacher.
These people are mi gente-my people.
I am totally bilingual-What a blessing that is!!!!
God did give me the desires of my heart.

My husband is from Philadelphia. What part of Texas do you reside in? I know of several families (friends and relatives) who live in various places throughout the state. What grade did you teach? I come from a family of teachers so it's in my blood, so to speak. lol How fortunate that you taught yourself Spanish!

I live in Central Texas in a city I just love. It is international like me!!!
I am originally from the countryside near a small town in the Appalachian Mountains, not far from Maryland and West Virginia about 4 hours from Pittsburgh on the PA Turnpike. I got my degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
I taught grades 2-6 in several Catholic schools in PA and Texas.
When Gracie was 4 and attending school all day, a job fell into my lap where I was able to teach at an elementary public school around the corner. I then taught Bilingual 4th, 4th/5th, later on in the Newcomer Center 3rd-5th, then 3rd/4th newcomer Center at a third public school in the same district.
I now see it all as destiny.
How sweet it is!!!!
