(courtesy of News9.com) here is a story from this school year that happened in My state the of Oklahoma . Young Cooper Barton wore his favorite Michigan shirt to Wilson Elementary in Oklahoma City and was told it violated the Oklahoma City Public Schools dress code and was asked to turn the shirt inside out. According to the dress code, students are only allowed to wear Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or apparel from another Oklahoma state school.

The Detroit News Comments Cooper Barton will get a hero's welcome when he and his family attend a Michigan game in Ann Arbor this fall. Cooper, the kindergarten student from Oklahoma City who was forced to turn his Michigan shirt inside out while at school, received a special call from U-M athletic director Dave Brandon on Wednesday. Brandon invited Cooper to a game, and asked if U-M could introduce the 5-year-old to the 109,000-plus crowd at Michigan Stadium. News 9 in Oklahoma City recorded Cooper and his family receiving the call from Brandon. Oklahoma City Public School policy prevents students from... wearing clothes support school outside of Ok. 

Ladies what do you think should kids have to wear only in clothes supporting inside state school to class ? No

Did the teacher miss a teaching minute ?  Yes I think it would have be use as a time to teach about respecting other peoples likes and dislikes and that it ok for people to have a different of opinion

Was yout kid ever send home or discipline for something he wore to school ? Yes Jeff had a pait os supense that had a teenage naject turtle on the center e problem was if you hit the turtle it would go off  playing the tune for the show . He play with it and so did  the other kids and until she take it away.  The teacher sent a note home with Jeff and ask me not to sent him back to school with it.

What do you think about what the Mihigan  or doing for Cooper?   I hope it has a wonderful time.

Did the teacher miss a teaching minute ?  Yes, PLEASE they are in school to learn, teachers are to teach academics, and making a deal about a tshirt with another school. Who cares? Seriously is it against the law in Oklahoma to attend another school. Ridiculous.

Was yout kid ever send home or discipline for something he wore to school ? No, my son follows the dress poilcy. It has nothing ridiculous on it.

What do you think about what the Mihigan  or doing for Cooper?   They can do anything for him but honestly the Oklahoma schools need to reshape their poilcies first
