I have been looking for other sistahs on this site that are non-religious.
I'm talking spiritualist, or even those who practice voodoo, shamanism, crafting, reiki, and so on.
I meet losts of moms on here that share my beliefs or way of life, but they are not African American.
If any are out there, let me know!
Hello, I new to this forum but-I have been there and done that. That is exploring the spiritual realm from Shamanism, Reiki, and the like. I've settled in now (after 25 years of exploring) on the Law Of Attraction. Powerful stuff. And yes- I am an African-American Sistah=D
i'm here sister. i practice ifa. it's so hard to find like-minded AA women. if one more black woman says to me, i know you don't believe in god but.... I do believe in god, i just don't want to practice it the way you do!
@zmama22 - I hear you my sista! It seems that the AA community all are following men and trust the man more than God. I woke up a couple of years ago and got out of bondage to the slavery of religion. I feel so free and I practice Universal truths follow the Universal laws. I listen to my inner voice and follow. Religion had me so caught up in the dogmas, after I came out I felt like I was a new person! It's good to see others here that are non-religious in our community.
ok, so here's my new delimma. my DD has been hearing about church a lot in school and wants to go to one. i'm thinking of visiting a universalist church because i've heard they are generalist (don't teach one specific dogma). anybody dealt with this? what did you do?
So you pratice the Universal Laws?? Me and my Husband also follow those Laws and it makes Life so easier. I have my book The Kybalion with me every where I go

I consider myself to be both non-religious and religious. I know weird, but the reason why I consider myself to be both, because the religion I am in [unitarian christianity], it is hard to find places of worship that involves the religion that I'm in. I was on a spiritual journey looking into islam, new age, paganism, louisiana voodoo, and other earth based religions. I am glad that I have finally found a religion that is closer to my beliefs. However, I still get involved in one new age belief, astrology. I love gaining information about zodiac signs. This might sound weird as well, but I would love to go to a Hip Hop church that lets you dress casual and has Hip Hop and R&B godly music.
