2 moms liked this
I started by sitting my son on the potty while I was using the bathroom. Once he got the hang of that I would let him go around the house naked.

I don't really know what to tell you besides you will know when its time to start the training (when they no longer want the dirty diaper on them and can TELL you to change them!)
But here's a bump for you because I know personally that these type of posts never get many responses here...

I agree with bxbsmommy, that's what I did with my DS when he was potty training.  Also back then we had those potty chairs with the tray on them so I could sit him in there and give him a snack, drink etc to produce something.  I would also you know do the Mom thing, clap really loud and praise him once he did go.  Good luck, I wouldn't want to go through that again for nothing in the world!  LOL  My daughter was SOOOOO much easier!

My girls are only a year, I don't have any advice but I'll be looking to see what the others say.  I'm nervous about the potty training phase because we have so much carpeting in our house.

My son learned by watching other kids use the bathroom. He didn't want to be left out and def didn't want to be the only kid in diapers.

I took away the diapers(except when he's sleeping). I bought him Mickey Mouse underwear. It's a bit messy, but by the 3rd day he was trained.

I wish he had other kids around, he only has my DD and she is only a month old...so I don't think she'd be much help lol
