Went to bakery yesterday, there was a white lady and her young daughter, about 3 yr old in front of me in line. The mother got a petit(a small cake) for her daughter. The lady at the register charged her 80 cents. Ok, the mother seemed surprised? She was charged so little, but she happily paid for it.
So when I got to register, I asked for same thing, I asked cashier how much it cost? She said 1.49, I'm like didn't you just charged that lady 80 cent for the same item? She said yes, that was my friend, which I disagreed they wasn't acting like they knew each other. Then she says, well she had her little daughter with her, that's why she paid less. Ok, so I asked her if I brought my little daughter in? Would I get a discount? She was speechless! I wasn't trying to be petty, the cashier was also white, not trying to pull race card, but it just made me wondered? Was it because I'm black? Or was it innocent, she had a little girl with her, that's why she got a discount.

I know exactly what you are talking about...It wasn't a secret I said the hair were braids and the pic was taken many moons ago...It obvious that you can read but lacking in the comprehension department

Quoting Tish_Hughes:

You dum dum, the hair was fake-you said so yourself. I don even know what your real hair looks like. I guess Im jealous of that 80s style Young and the Restless style jacket you had on, too. Chick, shut up. And since you obviously don't know what I'm taking about, refer to Missy's I'm done post. Dingbat.

Quoting supermom664:

Wow, you are jealous of my hair too...girl you got issues

Quoting Tish_Hughes:

Report it? Bitch please, report all day. Or shall I say Granny please? Report this one, too. Puffy haired scallywag ass.

Quoting supermom664:

I'm gonna be nice for now and just report your little comment...but I'm not finish I'll be back

Quoting Tish_Hughes:

I couldn't care less if you said your ratty ass puppy and sweeties, deadbeat or not doesn't matter to me cause I'm not dependant on anything from him cause I make more than he does anyway, thank ya kindly. You just keep hoping yours doesn't get pregnant while she's probably screwing most of the dudes on campus anyway.

Quoting supermom664:

I said ds and I don't expect anything for free but do you really want to hear jazzy? Why don't you & your dd go try to get some free stuff being that your ex is a deadbeat Dad and all

Quoting Tish_Hughes:

Had to be your dd cause judging from your jazzy ass mouth on this site, you wouldn't get anything for free.

Quoting supermom664:

I've gotta free stuff becauae my ds is so sweet & has such a outgoing personality...I now have to wonder was it because we are AA

Yeah but like they say, hindsight is always 20/20. I honestly think you should still say something. I don't know if it's because you're black but either way, it's wrong. I would have probably done the same thing that you did in that situation simply because you're just shocked, but you should definitely say something.

Quoting hopealways4019:

Good idea, I should have never left out, right there and then should have ask for manager.

Quoting Tish_Hughes:

You should go back and speak face to the manager. Screw calling, cause they'll probably just try to rush you off ofthe phone.

Quoting hopealways4019:

I should call back, I don't know her name, but to make them aware one of their employees are giving discounts.

Quoting Hottmomma607:

Race aside I would have call back to speak to the manager and let them "aware" of discount Debbie!! Either she is neptism to her friends or just giving random people discounts.

Right. I went to Best Buy yesterday and I couldn't get from 1 department to the next without a sales rep being SUPER nice! That's the way that it should be everywhere.

Quoting Hottmomma607:

True! But I wouldn't let it go! In most small places like that they tend to control their employees. Its NOT a big business they cannot afford to lose customers, cashiers on the other hand!

Exactly! Being a racist may be that person's choice, affliction, disease, and ignorance choosing to patronize that person's business and spend my hard earned green dollars is mine!

Quoting Hottmomma607:

I would have walked out and left them calories on the counter and my money in my pocket!!

I have learned that karma is a mf-er. Ppl think this is a joke, but it is the golden rule. How you treat others comes back to you some way some how. Trust me at the moment she least expects it, it will come back to her ten-fold. She may never know why, but she will be just as frustated as you were when you left that bakery.

I probably would have found $.80 or put a dollar on the counter and asked her to get her manager.

It could have been because you were without your child. When I'm with my son, some have given him things as well (usually cookies, toys, candy, etc) ... all things I want to throw back at they ass!

O and thanks for the entertainment!
