Pacifiers: Are they good for your baby?

Did you use a pacifier? At what age did you take it if you did?

I wish I'd never introduced it but I was desperate. We're working on getting rid of it now. She only gets a paci for bedtime.

Bun had one until about 14/15 months, then for awhile his BFF who was like 2 months younger than him would share his w/him during his withdrawal moments.......in other words he gave his up bc Bun was a bully and would snatch it! Then we'd be in public and he'd see another kid w/theirs and he'd be like "my bing, my bing!" SMH, if nothing else those damnable things teach you how to stand by your children through addiction!

Yes I used one and it had to be the one they gave him at the hospital. I broke him from it around 14 months. It was a struggle at first, but it didn't take as long as I thought and I still have it saved in his memory box.

Never gave pacis to my first two.  My third wanted a paci so bad from the time he was born and I let him have it, but I snatched that mofo from him when his teeth started to come in (about 6 months) and they were bucked out of his head.

This may sound stupid but does that really cause buck teeth? My baby was still gums on his 1st birthday so I'm clueless in that area.
