Co-sleeping!!

I have recently read up on Attachment Parenting and realized that's the style of parenting that I have always had and came natural to me. My DS slept in the bed with me from the day I took him home from the hospital till I got married last year. DH was not having it, for good reason though: My son is 3 and has his own bed he rarely slept in. Now we have our newborn dd and my DH is adamant about getting her out of our bed...soon. I told him to bear with me and by 3 months she will be napping and sleeping in her crib. For me its just easier to have her in the bed with me for all of those late night feedings. I have no one helping me with her besides him, but he's working all day, dinner beer and Xbox at night. He never wakes up to see why she's crying at night, but I don't bother him about any of this because he's the one working all day and needs his rest. I hate how he's pressuring me about her sleeping in our bed. He doesn't realize I guess how much easier it is for me to just sit up in bed pick her up and feed her. This way the only way I have to get out of the bed at night is to change her diaper. I'm rambling now...just needed to vent.

I got you beat I slept  with my mom until I was 12 and my brother was 10. On top of that we brought the dog and the cat with us. Finally she kicked us "out" aka we slept on the floor until finally we gave up and slept in our rooms in our own beds. To this day my mom still sleeps on the very edge of the bed because that's what she's used too. LOL

And yep I'm scared of the dark and still can't sleep by myself. At home I had my dog. Now D is deployed and most of the time I see the sun wake up. I can't sleep! That's why the kids were 4-5 months sleeping in their crib in their room at least half the night. By the time they are a year they don't sleep with me at all at night. And even though it's tempting I don't let them spend the night in my bed even if they happen to fall asleep there.

My son never slept in my bed....and honestly it's because when i was younger, I slept in my moms room, then my sisters bed, then on a couch in the dinning room because i was too afraid to sleep in my room ( I was school aged) by the time I was 9-10 I was still in my moms bed cuz we would move and I could never get used to sleeping in a dark scary room...if I did, ALL the lights had to be on...I did NOT want that cycle with my son...but yeah, it works for some, but I've also seen it backfire, personally... Even now I don't like to sleep alone, but I obviously can.

lol when I was 11, we moved again, & slept in the same room..then she sent me to live with my cousins, for 8 months..i slept alone, and did fine but I woke up every morning at 5:49 LOL weird, I know...I spent 4 months of that year living with my mom, in the same room again, with the dog...and the cat LOL everybody on the bed together if only u KNEW how cold is was though, that was the warmest room in the house. When we moved to NY, the ONLY reason I got my own room and was made to sleep in it was cuz I was pregnant and getting too big and my mom didn't want a crying baby in her room....I had to think back to remember that, even AFTER my son was born if it was COLDDDD we'd all be in the same room together, him in his pack and play, me on a twin mattress on the floor or if I was lucky she'd let me on the bed...if the dog moved..yes, the dog had a spot, I better hope that bitch moved...literally lol...we talkin bout teens years now I guess I justified it with being cold. When I moved into my own wing(yeah, our house was old and gangsta, that thing had WINGS) that first spring in that house (I was about 15) then I left for good, those followin winters were a mofo! usually I'd be calling somebody to come keep me warm...not like she'd know tho, cuz it was literally like a separation in the house

Dang that house does sound gangsta. Let me get a house with wings. I'd hide just to get some me time in. LOL The dog still has a spot on the bed and she refuses to give it up and don't lay in her spot when she is not there she gets straight mean with it and will squeeze in position and push you off the bed.

I stayed with my mom for two months after I had my oldest so it was me, her, my baby and two dogs in the bed.

We were some spoiled asses. LOL I bet we got folks like oh hell nah let me get these children out the bed before they hit their teens and refuse to leave.

On up to the birth of my twins.. our dd was in the bed with us.. she never ever slept in her crib.. i can count on my hands how many times.. she's been in there but now the boys are here they sleep in the bed with me.. its easier for me like that b/c i can keep a close eye on them.. while my dd & man sleep on the couch.. weird i know but this is the arrangement until the boys get about 3 months & they dont wake up so often!

Me and my hubby loved sex to much at the time. So the little always slept in her bed but I kept the bed in our room for feeding. I would definitely suggest the co sleeper crib that you can put right next to the bed. if you do side breastfeeding that'll be just as convient. But i know what u mean Im extremely attached to my little one til she starts plucking my nerve lol
