I have a relative (I'll just say "auntie") whom borrowed money from another relative ("cousin"). Cousin wanted her money back from auntie from ONLY the last time she borrowed money. So I visited cousin whom told me to relay the message to auntie that she wants to know when she is going to pay her back. I told auntie the message (yes, I realize now I should have stayed out of it. lol). Auntie feels as though they have "always shared money with each other" and "does not understand why she is asking for her money". Okayyyyyyyyyy! What?!?! Just pay the sh--! It's not that serious!
I just don't understand why family feels as though they don't have to pay their relatives back when they borrow money, especially if it is a petty amount (auntie owes about $10 or $15). Can someone enlighten me?
