My baby girl's God mother...please read!!! What would you do???
Hi moms...
I just recently went back to work after giving birth...my baby is only 4 months old...I have a friend of mine who is my baby girl god mother...Make a long story short...before I went on leave...she has a boyfriend that got a job where I work through a temp company...well the company I work for decided to hire him but he got let go friday because his background came back with 2 felonies which was cruelity to kids and forgery...and to get hired on permantantly you can't have any felonies...so with that charge I don't want her keeping my baby anymore because he will be there and with those charges hell no!!! Well being the person I am I explained that to her she said he will never hurt my baby and i'm wrong...I don't think i'm wrong...whatt would you do??? Or am I being silly??? Enlighten me...Cruelity to kids don't sit right with me...point blank!!
Quoting Deezeekay:You ain't being silly-I wouldn't have my child in the presence of a known felon, especially one charged with cruelty to kids? Hell naw. You already know what to do-and get a new Godmother too while you're at it :)
Another Godmother is not needed and i've taken care of the problem...Thanks though!!
Quoting krisdev67:Well damn, if that don't beat all. You're being silly? Damn....yeah ummm you may want to find another godmother for your daughter. I'm just saying..
I know right...but I was on that the moment I found out and it's taken care of...she's upset but oh well...my kids come first and if she had any sense she would know her kids should come first also...
Quoting BarbadianBeauty:
Df? Oh hell no. Not with charges like that. I would never NEVER EVER leave my child with him or her. If she thought those were ok charges she has to be a little off. :T those are serious charges, so that would me a hell to the mf'in no. Thats like asking me if i want a former pedo to watch my child. Someone else would be watching my baby girl lol.
It is your duty to protect your child. You have to do whatever you feel is necessary to accomplish that. If I were you, I would have made the very same decision. Your child is only 4 months old. He could do anything to her and she would never be able to say a word. The Godmother might go to the store or run onother errand and leave your child in his care. It's too risky. You made the right decision.
