Simple hair question

Ive thought about getting my hair done like this..

But my question is would those small braids bring some of my hair out even if i used extensions

There is a difference in loose braiding and braing loose. I braid tight without putting alot of tension between the hair and scalp. Loose braiding imo is a waste of both parties time.
