Do AA women know when to STFU?

Posted by   + Show Post
Lol

My husband was making jokes about President Obama's mediocre performance in the debate last night.

He said ---"Michele must've got in his shit on scheduling s debate on their anniversary and went off.". My husband said that nothing can screw with a black man's mind like his black woman. Bin Laden didn't shake him--- those pirates didn't shake him----he said not even the BP trouble.----but let his woman send him off wrong and shit can't be right.

It is just a joke but it got me thinking.

My question to the AA mommies in the group is---when your hubby/SO pisses you off right before he has to go to work----do you tear into him right before he goes to work or do you decide to wait until later?

Do we equip our men to face the world or do we sometimes drag him
Through the dirt before he even leaves the house?

Yes. It's a weird balance that we women have to do with our men right. It's like we have to send him off into the world nice and ready and satisfied and confident-----BUT we also have to make sure what's waiting at home is better than anything out there. WE are the shit!

I understand that money has to be made so I hold my tongue if he upsets me prior to going to work. I know where he lives, he WILL come back home lol!!!!

I've not been dragged through the dirt by my men. I'm not sure that that has to happen or is that common.

Quoting hopealways4019:

Most of us black women, have been dragged through the dirt. Because of this, it has made us stronger and 0 tolerance for bullshit.

LOL----nope he sure doesn't have to sleep with them. I cannot rest well if my husband and I are at odds.

Quoting ksbondgirl:

Obama does not have to sleep with them --LOL!

These kinds of things for us usually happen after work or midday.  DH is usually asleep when I get the kids and we are out the door for school.

I could tear into my S/O right before work and it wouldn't make a bit of difference. He knows how to keep his personal life seperate from his professional life, therefore, I don't even bother.

Besides, we're grown adults, and I don't feel the need to 'tear into him'. I can let him know how I feel without yelling and screaming and throwing a tantrum.

There have been times when I want to fuss him out on the spot but then I know if I do, he will most likely have a bad day and can't concentrate on work. But he usually knows when he has pissed me off and it will bother him until we talk about it.

I won't verbally say anything but my attitude is very very clear and I think that drives him even more crazy. I try not to lay into him before work or a test but he still feels my silent wrath
