I use the term because thats what I hear people refer to "our" names as. From high school and even now, women have names like Lakisha, Shawntavia, Myesha, etc. And these woman are not even mixed. Have you taken notice?

I haven't noticed. My DHs cousin (Caucasian) has a Caucasian wife named Keisha. She said she gets weird looks. I wasn't expecting her name to be Keisha either, but she said her mom LOVED the name. I try not to say names are a specific race. Some may choose traditional or a more urban name. I personally chose traditional names but not too traditional-- like Sally or Ashley.. Some of these names-- NORTH WEST-- are in the category of "foolish" when parents TRY to be creative lol-- but instead may set them up for being ridiculed and possibly bullied. (That's just my opinion)
