So here in ____________ where I live it is deer season. So country folks are firing up the bbq and crockpots and eating the mess out of bambi. My co-worker said that her son killed a couple of squirrels the other day.

So what DIFFERENT kinds of meats do you like to eat on?

The most different thing I have eaten is rabbit and I did not know at the time what it was which is why I will never eat off somebody else's plate ever again.

When I was in the Arctic, the Inuit family that I stayed with used to cook carribou every night for dinner.  The father would go hunting, and that's what we would have for dinner.  I've tried duck and like that.  I haven't tried rabbit,  squirrel, raccoon, or alligator and don't think I ever would.  In the Arctic I ate carribou but drew the line at eating seal.  I'm not adventurous when trying a lot of new dishes.

Elk has a natural almost spicy flavor to it. Raccoon is good if you slow cook it. Put it in a stew or in a smoker.
