"Jane" meets a guy, "James" and they hit it off. After a few months of dating and sexual intimacy, the two discuss children and long term exclusitivity . James is adamant about the fact that he does NOT want children; he's always been independent and desires to stay that way. Jane however wants one or two children. James begins to rethink their relationship, and even becomes weary of making love to Jane, as he knows how passionate she is about becoming a mother. However, his love for this woman is like nothing that he had ever experienced.. He loves her with his life. Fast forward almost a year later, the two are now living together, however they still have the same stance on children. Jane is on birth control, and to ease James' mind, they even use condoms as well.
Lo and behold, after 19 months together, Jane is pregnant. And happy. James, however is not. The relationship begins to slowly unravel as they cannot agree at all on how to go forward with or without children. James decides that he no longer wants any parts of the relationship, as he was very clear that he never wanted kids. Jane, shortly after giving birth, files for legitimation and child support, saying that she will force James to be a father even tho she knew full well that James wants this in no capacity.

They both are wrong for staying with each other for 19mnths. Jane knows birth control is only 99%, they both need to grow up.

I agree. Unless at some point Jane decided she could live without having children, the relationship seems like a waste of time.

That was a very predictable ending. They didn't want the same thing from the start. They both thought things would change yet still knowing what they wanted were two different things. Therefore, they are both wrong. That poor baby is the victim in all of this.

This!! I would never be with someone who want the exact opposite of what I want. People try to change people wich take too much time. Just find someone who wants what you want.👍

This! I find that it is really irresponsible and cruel for a woman to have a child with a man that she knows will not make an effort to be in the child life.
