I read an interesting article about the criminalization of our children in schools. It focused on the alarming rate of black kids more likely to get expelled, suspended and even arrested in school. Most of the time over things that could have been handled in the school without involving the cop. As a parent things like this really bother me.

Not too long ago I had a long talk with ds 8 about behaving and getting sent to principal's office. I told him do not get caught up on other people drama. I also tell him if he ever get sent to the principal office he need to request to call me or dh ASAP.

What do you tell your kids about behaving in school?

No talking in class lol!! My baby has a talking problem. I've noticed differences in the teachers, some call & tell everything some don't.
