About Single Pregnant Mothers-to-be

Hi! My name is Mari Gallion, and I'm the author of The Single Woman's Guide to a Happy Pregnancy and the owner of singlepregnancy.com.

This is a group to lend support for single women who are choosing the option of motherhood despite the financial, legal, and emotional challenges that often come with single pregnancy and parenting.

Women of all reproductive rights views will be respected and embraced, but remember that this is not a forum to discuss the perceived "rights" and "wrongs" of other options, as women who have chosen this unorthodox path must channel their energies positively and productively towards their own health and happiness and that of their future children.

Please understand that certain phrases, including "unborn child," are not meant to manipulate group members who happen to be pro-choice-- it simply makes no sense to use technical terms when the group member has decided to continue her pregnancy to be a mother.

This is not a group for people who are seeking to arrange for adoption as either a birth mother or adoptive parent.
