Associated Content - pays upfront fees (from $1 - $40+ per article, PLUS revenue share)

Bukisa - pays writers for page views of their articles.  Some writers start making money their first day!

Information Barrel - pays revenue share

The Examiner - pay is based on "based on standard Internet variables including page views, unique visitors, session length, and advertising performance."

Hub Pages - pays writers via adsense for page views and ad views
