Okay. I had my worst mom moment as yet. And I wanted to make myself feel better by hearing some other mom's stories. LOL Okay. So here is mine.

It is 100 degrees in my house so I stay at my mom's until it cools down every night. At abut 10 pm last night, I put Austin in the car. I closed his door and went around to get in. Lo and behold, my door did not open. we live in the country so at mom's I leave my keys in the car. Well, somehow, I managed to lock the car door. I don't kow if I bumped it or what. NEVER do I lock the doors around here. Anyway, all my windows were closed. I had no way to get to the baby. After trying for a couple minutes trying to wedge a wire hanger through the crack in the window, I gave up and called the police. I kept trying and was able to get him out before the cops got here (about 7 minutes after the call) so I had to call 911 again and let them know I got him out. It was not even about 10 minutes that Austin was locked in the car. But by the time I had gotten him out, he was hystarical.

Yeah. Worst mom moment. What was yours?

  • My youngest son was 2 and we let him walk through Walmart. I was looking at something and I thought my hubby was at the end of the aisle. Jake kept whining and I said Jake go see daddy.Well a minute later my hubby walked around the aisle in front of  me. I said where is jake and he said he's not with you? I totally freaked!! A clerk helped us look and they locked down the Walmart after 5 minutes of crying and praying and looking everywhere I sat down on the bottom shelf and saw 2 little feet sticking out of a rack of clothes.   sure enough it was my baby. When I asked him why he didn;t answer when we called he said "I play hide an seek". that was one time when you didn't know whether too smother them with kisses or ground them for eternity.  Needless too say after that I don't let the little boogers out of my sight even though the oldest is 12 and my baby Jake is now 7.

  • Awww big hugs to you :) Well, mine happened not too long ago. My Dh, DS (who is 15 months old) and I were in our bedroom and DH & I were talking. He was keeping an eye on DS who was playing on our bed. I was all the way across the room about to walk out of the room. I said to DH- I dont like how close he is to the edge! Not a SECOND after those words came out of my mouth, he toppled off the bed, hit his head on the windowsill and fell into a box of electronic cords and misc. It was so scary!!! He had a HUGE welt on his head :(.
