Hi there - curious to know if its normal to menstruate if you are nursing your baby? I've heard both sides - some say our periods come back and other say it doesn't come back till we stop nursing. Which is correct? ANd how soon is it normal for menstruation to begin after giving birth?

It varies from woman to woman. Some will start 6 weeks after giving birth, some 6 months, ans some a year or longer!

Ready for this? I am an 18 year old, graduated from high school, exclusively breastfeeding, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, baby signing, no CIO believing, vaxing, extended rear facing, delaying solids, organic feeding, unwed (but dating the father of my child for going on 3 years), stay at home, mommy of a 1 year old little booger that says mama & dada! With plans to continue my education as a Registered Nurse, be the best mom I can be, and change the stereo-type for teenage parents!

All variations are normal.

For me, I got my period back 4 weeks after giving birth and it came monthly just as before I got pregnant.
