Okay so my 18 mo old was 32lbs and 34in three months ago now he is 33lbs 12oz and 35 3/4in. He is nursing up to 12x a day still and eats small amounts of solids through out the day. So is 1lb and 12oz to much gain if he also grew 1 and 3/4 an inch in 3months?

In short, no. =)
As long as he's following his own hunger cues, the weight gain isn't an issue.
