Do you think DS is cluster feeding??  He has started wanting to nurse every 30mins to 1 hour, and it's usually in the evenings.  Normally, during the day, he will go every 1.5-2 hours....  I am not sure if he is just wanting to comfort suck, or if he is really wanting to nurse.

could posssssibly be a growth spurt..... everytime my son went through one he'd nurse every 30min or hour. pain in the butt, huh?
At night, it could be that he just wants to get his belly fuller for a better nights sleep-

does he sleep through the night or wake up for feedings?
my son also did a comfort suck, its normal. you can give him a pacifier if you want. see if that works.

I STILL BF my 17 month old son,is that ok?
I have pitbulls and they are terrible, they lick my sons face and cuddle up with him at night.

DEFINITELY!!!!!!  Let him nurse, he's building your supply.  He's 2 weeks old, that means GROWTH SPURT!  GL!

With newborns, you always treat it as needing to nurse. Yes, this is cluster feeding. But even if it's "wanting to suck" you go with it. Baby drives the bus through year one. **grin**

I figured could be a growth spurt!  He's my growing little guy!  I just wish he started doing it earlier in the evening so we could go to bed before midnight!  I definitely need to start napping during the day! He still gets up every two hours or so at night.

YES, cluster nursing.  This could be for 2 reasons... one, supply is generally lower in the evening so it takes more to get full.  Also, and this is the potentially good thing... he is stocking up to go longer over night without nursing.  My son tends to cluster nurse in the evening too and sometimes, it helps with longer sleep and sometimes not.  My daughter did it too and she slept 6-7 hours straight after she did!

Well, today he has been doing the same thing, wanting to nurse every 30 minutes, to every hour and a half.  So, I guess it wasn't cluster feeding!  :)  Maybe a growth spurt?  Of course, with it being Thanksgiving, and me cooking the Thanksgiving dinner, it has made things a little difficult!  But, we will manage!
