Thinking of starting solids

Aiden is 4 months, 3 weeks and keeps eyeballing our food. LOL. So, I've decided to start introducing VERY thin cereal mixed with BM just to see if he'll eat. I won't push it because he seems content most times and he is less than 5 months old, but I think he'd like getting a little extra substance in his diet. Since today's Thanksgiving, I figure today's a great day to try solids for the first time.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

My daughter is 7 months old and has been eyeing our food and grabbing at it since she was 3-4 months old. But I just tried giving her food last week (and again this week) she is NOT ready. She hates it. Acts like I'm feedign ehr cat poo or something! lol gags and shivers.

While it's recommended to wait till six months, the Rubicon is crossed here.

Nurse first, solids after. NEVER give ONE BITE of solids unless baby has nursed first, all the way to the first birthday.

That's what I did. I also told my SIL if she gives him cereal to give him a bottle first. He was ready. I'm only going to give him cereal once a day, if that. ETA: i only gave him less than 1/2 an oz and also BFed him afterwards. i really just did it to see if he was ready...
